Achievement challenge 3

Lift the achievement in Reading for all students, with a particular focus on boys and Māori students (both genders) years 1-13

Who am I?

I am a year 5 and 6 teacher at Saint Patrick's School. I have been teaching for 11 years and have been at Saint Patrick's School for 6 years. I have taught in Auckland, Australia and Taiwan.

Working at a Manaiakalani School has really inspired me to improve my teaching practice and become an even more reflective practitioner.

This blog is a record of my Inquiry into my teaching practice. My focus question for my Inquiry is on what strategies and teaching approaches can I implore to improve the Literacy outcomes for the boys.
